New
Kitchen and New Color
at
the Inn at Bath!
After
2 years of cooking in a cramped, chopped up kitchen with
no oven and just a bit more counter space, we closed The
Inn at Bath for five weeks and immediately tore into the
kitchen, removing walls, opening up doorways, and totally
reconfiguring the space. We have tripled the amount
of counter space and are loving how functional it is.
Meanwhile, the metal cabinets are in
New Brunswick, the wooden pantry cabinets have been installed
in my friends' house in Arrowsic, and another pair are in
an wonderful carriage house here in Bath, and the pantry
sink is in a camp up north. We recycle at the Inn
at Bath!

| The old kitchen looked pretty
good, but it was tough to work in ... |
...tight
spaces, limited counters, an oven that wouldn't close
-
remember the bungee cord holding the oven shut? |
 |
 |
| So the cabinets and cooktop
headed to Grand Manan Island, the counter top, in pieces,
to a new life here in Bath. |
The walls came down, the floors
were pulled up, only to reveal a wonderful, cavernous
space to act as our palette! |
