The East Room
The East Room has a private outside entrance above the terrace. As with all four of the rooms in this part of the house, it has an early American feel to it with its limestone-stained beams, lovely wide pine floorboards and painted hutch. Four windows provide eastern and southern exposure. A king bed is supplemented by a sofa/daybed which makes into a long twin bed for a third guest. The room also has a writing desk, a closet and a bathroom with pedestal sink, bidet, shower and bathtub. A private interior staircase provides internal access to The Inn. Finally, there is a pocket door in the room which can be opened to create a suite with its neighboring room, the Garden Room.
As with all our guest rooms, the East Room has a private bathroom, air conditioning (in-season), cable television, DVD (we have movies for all ages), clock radio. You will need to come upstairs to access WI-FI – the room is too far from the wireless. All beds have reading lights or side tables with reading lamps. Firewood for this room is provided at no charge.
