That being said, Winterfest may be one of the best times to visit. The old-fashioned, family-friendly festival brings out the best in our community with a cornucopia of events for everyone to enjoy. Bath Winterfest only celebrates its fifth anniversary in 2026, yet it feel like a long-standing and beloved tradition.
Bath Winterfest 2026
This year’s Winterfest is scheduled for Saturday, February 21st, 2026, at various venues in Bath’s downtown historic district. The Inn at Bath is also in the historic district, giving our guests easy access to festival events. In fact, our convenient location also puts you near downtown attractions: shops, restaurants, parks, and the lovely Kennebec River.
While this year’s festival schedule is still being determined, past events are a good gauge for what we can expect in 2026. Things like the “Downtown Olympics” with family games and contests, and the Fire Dept’s Touch-A-Truck, which run from 10am to 1pm. In fact, most events and attractions run for a couple hours or more, giving everyone a chance to stop by.
Last year also saw the LL Bean Boot Mobile, a dog show at Library Park,” fire pits, shopping specials, and more. One thing that has been announced for 2026 is the Winter Disc Golf Tournament at Library Park.
Of course, the highlight of Bath Winterfest is the annual Lantern Parade, running this year from 5-6pm. The parade starts off at Ancorum Federal Credit Union, then makes its twinkling way through the streets of Bath to the Chocolate Church for free hot cider, live music, and a parade lantern display. So fun!
