Bath Heritage Days 2025
Bath has been celebrating Heritage Days since the 1970s, and 2025 is looking to be one of the best yet.
The event kicks off on Thursday, July 3, with live music echoing down Front Street. The Carnival Midway features rides, games, and food vendors serving up fair favorites like fried dough, lobster rolls, and fresh-squeezed lemonade. There’s even a beer garden to relax and sip suds in.
Be sure to visit the Art in the Park show at City Park, where local artists and craftspeople display paintings, jewelry, pottery, and more. It’s a great way to find one-of-a-kind souvenirs while supporting regional talent.
Bath Heritage Days also celebrates the city’s deep historical roots. Stop by the Maine Maritime Museum or enjoy a self-guided walking tour of Bath to learn about the city’s storied shipbuilding past.
July 4th is the heart of the celebration. The morning starts with the Firecracker 5K Road Race, followed by our famous Independence Day parade. Local bands, historic reenactors, antique cars, and floats make their way through the streets to the cheers of the crowd.
As the sun sets on Independence Day, make your way to the waterfront for the spectacular fireworks display over the Kennebec River. It’s one of the most anticipated fireworks shows in midcoast Maine, drawing spectators from all over the region.
All this and more makes Heritage Days one of the biggest celebrations of the year. Whether you’re a longtime visitor or a first-timer, Bath Heritage Days is the perfect way to ring in Independence Day on Maine’s scenic coast. Won’t you come join us?
