Come out to Bath, ME this 4th of July weekend and help us celebrate not only Independence Day but also the 2024 Bath Heritage Days! This popular annual festival offers a cornucopia of fun events to attend. There’s a carnival with rides, parade, a classic car show, fireworks, beer garden, live music, and so much more! July 4th through the 7th, 2024.
Bath Heritage Days is the city’s largest, annual party. In fact, it includes one of the biggest 4th of July parades in the state! Further, 2024 marks the 50th annual return of this beloved, annual tradition, so you know this year’s going to be special!
Better yet, The Inn at Bath, our Mid-coast Maine bed and breakfast, is located in Bath’s downtown historic district, literal minutes away from most of the fun. You could easily walk to many of the events, if you wanted. After all, why struggle with parking if you don’t have to?
Bath Heritage Days 2024
The 50th anniversary of Bath Heritage Days promises 4 days of food, fun, and fireworks! Bath’s biggest party is held at various locations downtown. Most are in Library Park, just a 5 minute walk from The Inn at Bath. As stated above, festival days are July 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th, 2024.
Every day attractions include a carnival with games and rides, including a Ferris wheel overlooking the Kennebec River and downtown Bath. Other daily attractions include live music on the Waterfront Stage, food trucks in Library Park, and a beer garden.
Thursday, July 4th, will see the annual One Mile Fun Run, the Five Mile Road Race, and our famous Independence Day Parade, followed by a fireworks show over the river. Wow!
Friday’s events include Kid’s Day at Library Park, medieval-style armored combat by The Portland Reavers, and a chicken BBQ hosted by the Morse High School Boosters. All three of these events take place in Library Park.
Saturday includes Art in the Park, the Library Book Sale, and the Firemen’s Muster. This latter sees our local firemen competing against each other to see who can spray water the farthest using only antique, man-powered hand pumps. Very fun and exciting! Again, all in Library Park.
Sunday’s schedule sees Art in the Park and the Library Book Sale continue, as well as an Antique Car Show on Front Street with 100 vintage vehicles. If you love classic and custom cars, you will love this show!
